Noyan Tuna is a filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
He studied at the Friedl Kubelka School of Independent Film and at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
In his film work, he explores time, memory, identity, and the relationship between poetry and cinema. The foundation of his other artistic practice is based on the medium of photography, which he often combines with mixed techniques such as found materials, embroidery and print experiments. All works have a diary-like approach, each as a building block for the next, creating a personal and interconnected oeuvre.
His works have been shown at national and international film festivals and institutions, including the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Diagonale - Festival for Austrian Film, Vienna Shorts Film Festival, mumok, Austrian Film Museum Vienna, Halle für Kunst Steiermark, and Neue Galerie Graz.
